Diamonds in ophiolites – Recycling deep mantle in supra-subduction zones

Du 2018 au 2022

Objectives :

  1. validate/refute the hypothesis that diamonds occur widely (if not abundantly) in ophiolites;
  2. determine the conditions under which ophiolites of various ages formed in Australasia;
  3. resolve pressure/temperature/time histories for SuR-UHP minerals in these ophiolites; and develop tectonic models consistent with the incorporation of these anomalous minerals into ophiolites.
